Strategic brand protection programs designed for growing companies facing counterfeit, infringement, and marketplace risk.
Counterfeit and infringement issues don’t fix themselves, and most growing companies lack a structured protection strategy. Summit Brand Advisory helps small to mid-sized consumer goods companies that know they have a problem but don’t yet have a program to design and implement practical, right-sized brand protection strategies. Whether you’re losing revenue to counterfeits or simply don’t know where to start, we build a clear path forward, aligned to your budget, resources, and timeline.
The Starting Point
Most brands have no structured protection program. Every dimension is exposed. Infringement and Counterfeits are rampant.
Practical Programs
Brand protection isn't a one-time event. It's a disciplined, strategic capability.
Measurable Impact
Clear outcomes. Reduced risk. Revenue you stop losing to infringement.
Most growing companies don’t have a brand protection problem. They have a lack of structure.
Counterfeit listings, unauthorized sellers, IP misuse, and marketplace chaos don’t just dilute brand value. They quietly erode revenue, margin, and customer trust.
But here’s the reality:
Without a structured program, enforcement becomes fragmented, expensive, and inconsistent.
That’s where we come in.

Chris Gibbins founded Summit Brand Advisory after recognizing a consistent gap in the market: growth-stage companies often understand they have a counterfeit or infringement problem but lack the internal structure, strategic roadmap, and resources to address it effectively. A senior brand protection strategist with over a decade of global experience in anti-counterfeiting, intellectual property enforcement, and marketplace risk mitigation, he previously served as Director of Global Anti-Counterfeiting and Senior Brand Protection Manager for leading consumer product companies, where he built and led enterprise-level protection programs and aligned executive leadership around structured, measurable risk-reduction strategies.
Throughout his career, Chris has developed and executed comprehensive brand protection programs across domestic and international markets. His leadership has included overseeing large-scale online enforcement initiatives, building and managing vendor and legal partner networks, expanding intellectual property portfolios, implementing product authentication and track-and-trace systems, and coordinating cross-border investigations resulting in seizures, civil actions, and criminal enforcement across multiple jurisdictions. His programs have removed tens of millions of dollars of counterfeit product from circulation while establishing disciplined, scalable operating frameworks.
Through Summit Brand Advisory, Chris applies this experience to help growth-stage organizations design practical, budget-aligned brand protection programs that can be implemented, measured, and sustained. His approach enables companies to move beyond fragmented, reactive takedowns and build controlled, repeatable systems that preserve revenue, restore marketplace control, and reduce long-term risk.
Whether you have a specific brand risk in mind or want to understand your overall exposure, we’d welcome a confidential conversation.
